Psychology Content Writer Intern

Resilience, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving the mental health of students, as well as reducing mass shootings, suicide, and depression. Resilience, Inc. also works to combat declining test scores, low student engagement, and a slew of other social issues.  

 

Our organization focuses on offering Social Emotional Learning tools to enable K-12 schools to teach emotional intelligence through 5 core topics: self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship management, goal setting & effective decision-making. We also provide tools for acquiring and maintaining inspiration, hope, social beings, and overall well-being.  

 

Our mission is to teach SEL tools at every school in the country. Resilience offers unpaid internship programs that require at least a 4-month commitment with a minimum of 5 hours per week and team meetings weekly. Availability must also allow for as-needed meetings/phone calls. There are flexible start and end dates with the option to continue after meeting the minimum requirement. 

 

As a Psychology Content Writer at Resilience, you will contribute to developing the AIMEE (mobile app) curriculum. Write content that is effective, accessible, and engaging for the target audience. 

 

Daily Expectation

As a Psychology Content Writer, your daily expectations will include:

  1. Collaborating with campaign managers, creative team, and designers
  2. Ensuring all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone)
  3. Contribute ideas for content strategy and development.
  4. Ensure content is accurate, well-structured, and aligned with the organization's objectives.
  5. Write clear and engaging content pieces.
  6. Researching and organizing facts and sources.
  7. Working with a large team to innovate the AIMEE curriculum.

Requirements:

To fulfill the role successfully, you should meet the following requirements:

  1. Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Psychology or a related field.
  2. Able to work independently.
  3. Able to work on a team and attend remote weekly meetings.
  4. Reliable, punctual, and pays attention to details.
  5. Consistently communicate with team members.
  6. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  7. Familiar with Google Drive, Google Slides, Google Docs, and other relevant tools.
  8. Strong research skills and the ability to gather information from reliable sources.
  9. Creative thinker with the ability to present complex ideas simply and engagingly.
  10. Detail-oriented and ensures accuracy and consistency in content creation.
  11. Able to work independently, take initiative, and be a collaborative team player.

 

Some educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept a position.
